The world is a place full of opportunities that can lead you to greatness if you seize them. The world has a great impact on your life and creates the way you view yourself and others. Family, friends, the whole world, including people you wouldn’t think, have had a great impact in your life and helps construct your future. Family is one of the most important parts of our life not just for me, but for all of us. Family not only raises you, but encourages you to become the person you want to be. Personally my family is one of the best gifts God could give me. My family is not big, but their support is as big as it could get. There is only four in my family, which includes my father, mother, seven year old brother and of course me. Coming from parents, who work in the fields, I know the struggle that my parents go through every day, working from dawn to sunset. My parents have taught me what it is to work in the fields, which encourages me to keep myself motivated even in the worst situations. Besides their hard work my parents’ examples and teachings have motivated me and to become the person that I am. Communities and schools are also an important contribution to our success. I’ve been attending Lindsay Unified School District for about eight years now and it’s been exceptional. The community and schools are very supportive and have helped me get to where I am. Being new to Lindsay and the U.S., and knowing the language was really hard, not only for me but for all of us. Even though I didn’t know the language, the schools I attended here were very helpful and hopefully I will graduate soon. I am very proud that a community like this is willing to help people like me. I’m currently attending Lindsay high school and I appreciate the school’s attempt to help us view the world in a different way. As young teenagers we often waste the opportunities being offered because we believe that we have control of everything but at the end we will understand that the schools push us so hard to help us with our future. Personally, I admit that I have struggled to stay focused but like my father said, “mistakes do not count but the way that you correct them do”. Though the courses offerings my high school has prepared me for obstacles that I may face during life. Family, friends, and my community have had a part in my life and inspired me to follow my dreams. Attending a school, visiting hospitals and offices, and watching all of the people doing what they love keeps me motivated. I am just a young girl in a big world but one day I will become the person I’ve always wanted to be, and I will look back and look at the people who helped me make it possible and learn that everything they did was to help me succeed in life.
